KingTech is a Dutch company founded in 2012 by Gijs van der Meijde. Since then, KingTech has explored a wide range of technical fields, always aiming to stay at the cutting edge. From 3D printing and industrial electronics to software and custom PCs, KingTech has worked across it all.
Like many tech enthusiasts, founder Gijs van der Meijde was often asked to configure, build, and repair computers for friends and family. It did not take long before he started taking paid jobs in his local area. Although this work was not yet under the KingTech name, this is where our roots began.
Driven by a passion for the latest gadgets, Gijs was constantly experimenting with new technologies such as drones, 3D printers, and home automation. It came as no surprise that he chose to study embedded software design and computer science.
With a background in embedded systems and computer science, Gijs van der Meijde began taking on development projects for a wide range of companies. That is how the KingTech label officially started.
Moving into a new office in 2020 opened up even more possibilities. The new KingTech office and server infrastructure allow us to develop software more efficiently, while our workshop, featuring professional soldering equipment, 3D printers, and more, helps us take on larger and more complex projects than ever before.
